The Aloha State Games have been happening in Hawaii for over a decade. The Aloha State Games include about 50 different sports in the state of Hawaii over the time of 2 weeks. The 10K was held on June 22, 2008 at 7A starting at Kapolani Park. The turnout for the race was over 100 runners. The race course did the out and back course around the water side of Diamond Head ending at the Honolulu Marathon finish line.

The Aloha State Games shirt design shows all the sports the event covers on the back of the shirt and small flame logo on the front shirt side. The shirt color was white this year. The after race refreshments included bananas, oranges, sodas and fruit drinks. The weather was dry and sunny. The Aloha State Games 10K is a good race to run if you live in Waikiki because Kapolani Park is so close. The Mid Pacific Road Runners help to time the race and set up the race course.
