June Jones 5K Review 2007
By Louis Tomsic This years June Jones was an overwhelming success. The race numbers were the highest in the history of the event. It was nice to get to see one of the greatest football coaches in Hawaii put on such a special event. He inspires many of our young athletes in Hawaii with his can do attitude. The race course is excellent with a small loop around the sports center of UH and then a larger loop around the UH campus before finishing with a loop around the baseball field. The award cerimonies were excellent with water, gatoraid, muffins, bagels and fruit. A fun attmosphere was present on a sunny morning because of the wonderful band that was playing current popular songs. Just like June Jones, this 5K is getting better.
