June Jones 5K
The June Jones 5K was run Saturday before University of Hawaii (UH) football practice at 8:30A. The turnout was down from 200 to about 70 runners from the previous year. Ashley Dustow (bottom left of photo) won the race. The race course is one of the best in Honolulu. It does one small loop around the athletic buildings on the UH campus and one big loop around the lower campus to finish in the baseball stadium. Refreshments included apples, cupcakes, water and gatoraid. The event raises money for many worthy causes and is highly recommended if it is not on your race schedule for next year.
