Run for the Cure 5K 2007 Race Review

Review by Louis Tomsic

This is a warning to all runners who want to be in a timed race, this race is no longer a timed event. The top 3 runners do get prizes. This is mainly a community event to raise awhareness for the cure for cancer.

The couse startes at the Honolulu Marathon finish, running the opposite way around the fountain, past the start taking a right on Monsarat and then completing a loop around Kapolani Park back to the Honolulu Marathon finish.

All finishers are treated to a bag of goodies from Safeway that had bananas, mixed berry & grain cerial bar, popsicle & a yogurt. After the race you could get some bottled water. At the health fair they had hot air ballons for teh kids, and a new flavor of Sun chips that were cheddar flavored.
